Obituary

Mrs. Edna Edinburgh, 64, died about 1:15 p.m. Saturday in Lubbock´s Methodist hospital. She had been a McAdoo resident more than 30 years.

Services will be at 4 p.m. at the McAdoo Baptist Church, under the direction of King Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

A native of Know County, Mrs. Edinburgh moved to McAdoo in 1939.

Survivors include her husband, C.R. Edinburgh; three sons, A.C. Edinburgh, an Air Force colonel stationed Saigon, J.K. and Wayne Edinburgh, both of Crosbyton; three brothers, M.V. McLaughlin of Weatherford, S.M. McLaughlin of Hawkins and O.H. McLaughlin of McNeal, Ariz., two sisters, Mrs. A.W Frazier of El Centro, Calif., and Mrs. Fred Large of Corona, N.M., and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Lavelle Phifer, Elmer Wells, DeWayne Moore, Jabez Rigsbey, Billie Joe Edinburgh, and Austin Watson.

C.R. Edinburgh, a resident of the McAdoo area since 1937, was found dead at his home about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday by a grandson, Russ Edinburgh. Mr. Edinburgh was believed to have succumbed earlier that morning.

A retired farmer, he was 83.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today (Thursday) in the McAdoo First Baptist Church. Leonard Dennis, minister of the McAdoo Church of Christ, and Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor of First Baptist Church in Crosbyton, will officiate.

Burial is to be made in McAdoo Cemetery. King Funeral Home is directing arrangements.

Born Dec. 27, 1891, in Marquez, Mr. Edinburgh was a veteran of World War I.

He and the former Edna LeeMcLaughlin were married March 4,1927 in Smyer and moved to McAdoo in 1937 from Spur. Mrs. Edinburgh preceded her husband in death in 1971.

Surviving are three sons, Col. A.C. Edinburgh, United States Air Force, stationed in Denver, Colo., J.K. Edinburgh and Wayne Edinburgh, both of Crosbyton; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Noble Neff, Raymond Harris, Donville Moore, H.F. Harris, Carroll Finch and J. H. Rigsby.
