Obituary

James Franklin (Jim) Earley of McAdoo was claimed by death about 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Crosbyton Hospital following a prolonged illness. He was 84.

Mr. Earley had been a McAdoo resident since 1928.

Memorial services were conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in the McAdoo Baptist Church. The Rev. Rodney Brown, pastor, and the Rev. Lanny Wheeler, Methodist minister from Hart, officiated.

Interment was made in McAdoo Cemetery, under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Earley was born August 13, 1893 in Hill County, Texas. He and Ollie Rodgers were married at McAdoo in 1934.

A retired farmer and ginner, he was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife, Ollie of McAdoo; two stepsons, B.C. Cooper of Portales, N.M. and Doc Cooper of Ralls; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Andy Hallford of Portales, N.M., and Mrs.Lorene Brantley of McAdoo; one brother, Barney Earley of Roaring Springs; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

McADOO (Special) - Services for Ollie Rodgers Earley, 93, of McAdoo will be at 4 p.m. today at McAdoo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Brock Sanders, pastor, and Leonard Dennis, retired Church of Christ minister, officiating.

Burial will be in McAdoo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mrs. Earley died about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday at Crosbyton Hospital after a lengthy Illness.

Born in Hill County, she lived in Hall County before moving to McAdoo 56 years ago. The former Ollie Rodgers married James Franklin "Jim" Earley in McAdoo in 1934. He died in 1977. Mrs. Earley was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, B.C. Cooper of Portales, N.M., and Doc Cooper of Ralls; two daughters, Audy Hallford of Portales and Lorene Brantley of McAdoo; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 20 great great grandchildren.
