LORENZO (Special) — Services for Jo Cypert, 73, of Lorenzo will be at 2 p.m. today in United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eugene Crane, pastor, Dr. Jerry Golden, pastor of First Baptist Church, and Travis Boyd, minister of Lorenzo Church of Christ officiating.

Burial will be in McAdoo Cemetery in McAdoo under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home in Ralls.

She died at 9:45 a.m. Monday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a brief illness.

She was born in Hill County and moved to Lorenzo in 1987 from McAdoo. She married Weldon Cypert on Sept. 16, 1933, in Crosbyton. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Van of Lorenzo; a daughter, Sandra Gregory of Lazbuddie; four sisters, Lois Ratheal of Crosbyton, Juanita Everett of Lancaster, Edrie Sikes of Dallas and Maxine Mitchell of Plano; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Todd Gregory, Mark Cypert, Michael Cypert, Lonny Cypert, Kody Carson and Jim Jones.

Services for Weldon Cypert, 83, of Lorenzo were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday May 28, 1997, in Lorenzo First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Namiqa Shipman, pastor, and the Rev. Don Boren, pastor of Friona First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial followed in the McAdoo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 6 a.m. Sunday, May 25, 1997, in Lorenzo´s Sunshine House following an illness.

He was born Sept. 16, 1913, in Whitney. He married Jo Henderson Sept. 16, 1933 in Crosbyton. She died Feb. 27, 1989.

He was a farmer. He moved from Whitney to McAdoo in 1915 and from there to Lorenzo in 1987.

He was a member of Lorenzo First United Methodist Church. He taught Sunday School at McAdoo for several years. He was a member of the Spur Masonic Lodge and served on the McAdoo school board. He was a former tax assessor-collector at McAdoo and was active in the Dickens County ASCS office. He was a member and former officer of Lorenzo Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a son, Van of Lorenzo; a daughter, Sandra Gregory of Lazbuddie; a brother, Nathan of Amarillo; a sister, Lucille Boucher of Lubbock; six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
