Obituary

McADOO (Special) — Services for John Henry Burrow, 79, of McAdoo will be at 2 p.m. today in McAdoo first Baptist Church with the Rev. R.C. Hester of Lubbock officiating.

Burial will be in McAdoo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Burrow died Monday, Jan. 8, 196, in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

He was born Jan. 14, 1916, in Texas. He married Jewel Callihan on June 13, 1937, in Plainview. He was a member of the Pansy Baptist Church.

He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kalah Donn Tinney of Floydada and Kandice Jon Persall of Taiwan; a sister, Orie Cooper of Portales, NM; and three grandchildren.

Jewell Burrow PhotoServices for Jewell Burrow, 85, of Floydada and formerly McAdoo will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the McAdoo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Persall and the Rev. Jimmy Neff officiating. Burial will follow in McAdoo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

Jewell passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the Floydada Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born November 29, 1920 in McAdoo to the late John and Emma (Hickman) Callihan. On June 12, 1937 she married John Henry Burrow in Plainview. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1996.

She was a member of the Pansy Baptist Church in McAdoo and a homemaker. She grew up in McAdoo and lived there until 1999 when she moved to Crosbyton. Three years later she moved to Floydada. She loved taking walks on clear West Texas days and helping things grow, including those around her. She was an example of how to mother to her two daughters and left a legacy of family to all who knew her.

Survivors include; Two daughters; Kay Burrow Tinney of Floydada, Kandy Burrow Persall of East Asia, two sons-in-law; Ray Lee Tinney of Floydada, Mark Persall of East Asia, three grandchildren; Danny Ray Tinney of Floydada, Hannah Elizabeth Persall Svebakken and husband Steve of Jackson, TN, Hilary Elise Persall of Amarillo and only living sibling; Ruby Callihan Pipkin of Smithville.

The family will receive friends from 6 PM - 7 PM Friday at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.
