William Avery Chapman, 'Eagle', 42 passed away Monday, January 21, 2013. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the HWY 70 Church of Christ, Spur, Texas. Pastor Tommy Bailey officiating. Interment will be at Espuela Cemetery.

William was born May 24, 1970 in Abilene TX. He graduated from Snyder High School in 1988. He was the school mascot and football trainer. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR and Dale Earnhart Jr. He was always fun and loved life simple in blue jeans and T-Shirt. William is survived by his mother, Bobbie and husband Joe Shafer of Spur, TX. Father, Raymond Chapman, Monument NM. Sister, Laura Kay and husband Johnny Monk of Spur, TX. Brother, James Leatherwood Jr. of Crosbyton. Three children, James Chapman of Crosbyton, TX, Talon Chapman and Kyrsten Chapman of Odessa, TX. One niece and two nephews. William is preceded in death by his step-dad James Leatherwood and grandmother Cleone Coursey.

Pallbearers: Shawn Chapman, Jeremy Edwards, Austin Halliday, Craig Lambert, Curtis Lambert, Johnathan Mauldin, James Price.
