Services conducted for Jesse Wyatt

Funeral services for Jesse Wyatt were held Saturday, June 19, at the Dickens Baptist Church. Rev. Victor Crabtree and Rev. V.D. Walters of Jayton officiated.

Wyatt was born August 23, 1901 in Madisonville, Texas. He came to Dickens County in November of 1909. On November 10, 1949, he was married to Clarice Hughes at Lovington, New Mexico.

Survivors are his wife; mother, Mrs. Amanda Wyatt of Dickens; four sisters, Mrs. Charlie Holloway of Spur, Mary Wyatt, Mrs. Christine Hunt of Dickens; Mrs. Clay Edwards of Afton; five brothers, Jack of Brownwood, John, Jim, Bill and Frank, all of Spur.

Pallbearers were Adrain Rickels, Charlie Gage, Dewey McGinley, Frank Murphy, Frank Adams, Harry Martin, Jay Austin and Fred Arrington.

Honorable pallbearers were Jimmie Wyatt, Wayne Wyatt, Wylie Hunt, Billie Wyatt, Fred Wyatt, DuWayne Edwards, Tom Wyatt, Tom W. Yeates and Gerald Yeates.

Interment was in the Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
