Disabled Vet Buried Here

U.S.Flag   Funeral services are slated today at 2:30 p.m. in the Baptist Church at Dickens for Robert Leslie Worswick, 71, a disabled veteran of World War I. Rev. Victor Crabtree will officiate at the service.

Worswick died en route to Spur Memorial Hospital. He had been ill for several days.

Born in Stonewall County in 1889, he came to Dickens Count in 1891. He was the son of an early-day Dickens County Judge, Ben Worswick. He had resided in Spur since 1940.

At press time, the list of pallbearers was incomplete.

Survivors include seven sisters, Mrs. Ella Smith, Mrs. Mary Johnson, Mrs. Lena Walker, Mrs. Margaret Daw, Mrs. Frances Harkey, Mrs. Virginia Cox and Mrs. Bennie Nusbaum.

Interment will be in Dickens Cemetery.
