Services for Nina Faye Winkler, 69, Spur, were at 2 p.m. February 1, 1992 in the Highway 70 Church of Christ. Ernie Bishop, minister, officiated.

Burial was in Dickens Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Winkler died January 30 in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock, following a brief illness. She was born January 9, 1923 in Girard and had resided in the Spur area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Spur VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She married Billie Pat Winkler September 4, 1946 in Spur.

She is survived by her husband of Spur; two sons, Mike Winkler of Rockwall; one sister, Dorothy Mitchell of Lubbock; three grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Bill McGlaun, Lloyd Rinehart, Travis Hoover, Sonny Rutledge, Don Ramsey, Dan Robertson and Gwyn Long.

Services for Billy Pat Winkler, 79, of Mesquite, will be at 1PM Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Highway 70 Church of Christ, with Bob Martin officiating. Burial will be in Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home in Spur.

He died Sunday, November 2, 2003 in Dallas.

Mr. Winkler was born November 10, 1923 in Croton, TX to A.B. and Emma Winkler. He graduated from Dickens High School in 1941. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in France during World War II. After the war, he married Nina Faye Gunn of Girard and settled in Spur. He was employed for 25 years by the U.S. Post Office as a letter carrier. He retired in 1975 following the death of his first wife. Pat married Sylvia Walker of Graham in 1995 and moved to Graham. Following her death in 2001, he moved to Mesquite to be near his son Jimmy. He was a member of the Highway 70 Church of Christ and the VFW Post while living in Spur.

He is preceded in death by his parents, A.B. and Emma Winkler, and his wives, Nina Faye Winker and Sylvia Winkler.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Winkler of Midland and Jimmy and wife Mary Alane Winkler of Rockwall. Four grandchildren: Banyan Winkler of Lubbock, Bryce Winkler of Snyder, Ben Winkler and Mary Leigh Winkler of Rockwall and one great granddaughter, Victoria Winkler.
