Funeral services for Mrs. H.V. Williams, 58, were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, at the First Baptist Church in Afton. Officiating were Rev. Victor Crabtree of Dickens and Rev. Don Hancock, pastor of the Parkview Baptist Church in Plainview, and a former pastor of the Afton church.Burial was in Dickens Cemetery at Dickens. Arrangements were directed by Seigler Funeral Home, Matador.
Mrs. Williams passed away at 12:35 a.m., Tuesday, August 29, at the M.D. Nursing Home in Spur, where she had been in failing health, suffering from arthritis for the past 15 years, and had been critically ill for several months.
The former Anne Genry, Mrs. Williams was born November 24, 1913 in Dickens County, the daughter of the late Claude and Mallie Gentry, early Dickens County pioneers. She was married to H.V. (Bunch) Williams, November 30, 1933, at Spur and had made her home in Dickens County all her life. She had been a member of the Midway Baptist Church, and in later years, a member of the Afton Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Jimmy Watson (Jerry) of virginia Beach, VA, and Mrs. David Keith (Tommy) of Lingo, NM; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Cooley of Lubbock; and four grandchildren, Chris and Darron Watson, and Bryan and Mike Keith.

Services for H.V. (Bunch) Williams, 77, of Dickens, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Afton Baptist Church with retired Baptist minister Victor Crabtree officiating. He was assisted by Russ Sanders, Afton pastor.Burial was in Dickens Cemetery under direction of Mynatt Funeral Home in Matador.
Williams died at 12:15 p.m. on November 6, in the Spur Care Center. He was born in Cass County on March 9, 1910. He was a farmer and a Baptist. He married Ann Williams in Dickens County on November 30, 1933. She died August 29, 1972.
He is survived by two daughters, Tommye Keith, Dickens and Jerry Watson, Casper, Wyoming; four sisters, Nell Dial, Grands Pass, Oregon; Jerry Smith, Plainview; Onie B. Colberg, Benicia, CA; Winnie Walker, San Dimas, CA; five grandsons, Chris and Darren Watson, Bryan, Mike and Tye Keith; two great granddaughters, Jessi and Johnni Keith.
