Mrs. Watson was born Kate Anderson, May 16, 1881, at Belton, Texas. She died at the Nichols Sanitarium Friday, May 20, 1942 being 61 years and 13 days old.

She was married to R. L. Emert May 3, 1903 at Gatesville, Texas. To this union were born eight children. Five of them preceded her in death. Mr. Emert died in 1929.

In 1934 she was married to Mr. G. H. Watson.

Surviving are the husband, G. H. Watson; and three sons, Otha Emert of Spur, Robert Emert of Arizona, and Lonnie Emert of California; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Forns of Winters, Texas and Mrs. Susan A. Hall of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Mrs. Watson made a profession of faith and united with the Methodist Chuch when fourteen years of age at Belton, Texas. Her membership was held at Gatesville, Texas.

"A good neighbor, especially capable and attentive in any sickness, she was kindly dispositioned to her neighbors in any need," is a testimony of one of her neighbors.
