Dickens Man Dies As Two Trucks Collide
Funeral services are scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Dickens Church of Christ for William Dearell Stubblefield, 33.He died in a Paducah Hospital following a collision between two trucks Tuesday night, near Guthrie.
Born in Sherwood, Texas in 1930, Mr. Stubblefield had made his home in Dickens for most of his life; moving to Lubbock in July of this year. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Air Force from 1948 to 1952.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Rebecca Lynn and Deborah Lee, all of Lubbock; his mother and father, Mr. And Mrs. J.C. Stubblefield, Dickens; and two sisters, Mrs. Foy Jackson, Dickens, and Mrs. Roger Rorabaugh, Lake Charles, LA.
Minister of the Dickens Church of Christ will officiate.
Burial will be in Dickens Cemetery.
