Services for Anna Ruth Speer, 77, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in South Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Fikes, pastor, officiating.Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in Dickens Cemetery under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock.
Mrs. Speer died Sunday in her residence after an illness.
She was born in Dallas and moved from Dickens in Lubbock in 1955. She married Leo E. Speer Feb. 20, 1933, in Spur. He died in 1985. She had worked at two car dealerships and as an office manager for the Concord House. She was a former member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and was a member of the Lubbock Women's Club and South Park Baptist Church. She had volunteered at Methodist Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Haberthur of Richardson; a sister, Doris White of Hale Center; two brothers, George Parker of Dallas and Dan Parker of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnnie Speer, Ron Hanby, Steve Reis, Frank Gaston, Ron Broussard and Allen White.
