Mrs. Willie Scott Of Dickens Buried
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Willie E. Scott, 46, who died Saturday night at 7 o'clock at her home here following a paralysis stroke she suffered two weeks ago. Services were held at the Church of Christ by Mr. Bishop, minister of Crosbyton. Interment was at Dickens in charge of Mr. Marlowe of Peacock and B. J. Kellett of Girard.Willie E. Ballard was born August 25, 1889 at Haskell, Texas and moved with her parents to Dickens when she was 18 months old.
She is survived by one son, Billie, 14 years old. Mrs. Scott was a half sister to Mrs. J. H. Meadors, Mrs. W. F. Draper, Mrs. H. S. Post, Mrs. John LaBrier, Tom Ballard and John Ballard.
Relatives attending the funeral were Tom Ballard, Frank Draper and Bailey Post of Haskell; Olive Meadors, Lamesa; Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Cozby, Lubbock; Mr. and Mrs. K. W. Street and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Meadors of Dickens.
