Graveside services for Lola Mimms Rogers, 92, of Lubbock were held Thursday, October 16, 1997 in the Dickens Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home, Wichita Falls, Texas. Truman Scott, Dean of Academics of Sunset School of Preaching officiated.Mrs. Rogers died October 13 at University Park Manor in Wichita Falls.
She was born September 15, 1905 in Fredricksburg, Texas. She was a homemaker. She lived in Wichita Falls for four months coming from Lubbock since 1951. She was a member of Pioneer Park Church of Christ in Lubbock.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Mimms in 1949; by her second husband - W.J. Rogers in 1972 and by a son, Britton Mimms in 1934.
Survivors include three sons, Jere Mimms, Ransom Canyon, TX; Don Mimms, Levelland; Jack Mimms, Plano; one daughter, Carolyn Macon, Wichita Falls; ten grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
