NEW DEAL — Services for Rebecca Noland, 47, of New Deal will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Deal Baptist Church with the Revs. Tim Winn, Terry W. Jones and Bobby McMillan officiating.
Burial will be in Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home of Lubbock.
She died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2001.
She was born June 25, 1954, in Edmond, Okla., and moved to New Deal in 1980 from Lazbuddie. She married Jimmy Noland on Aug. 18, 1973, in Muleshoe. She graduated from Hamlin High School and West Texas State University. She taught school in Bovina and Lazbuddie and was teaching this year in New Deal. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Lubbock.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Cassie and Callie, both of New Deal; her mother, Dorothy Wright of Canyon; two sisters, Rhonda Bainum of Lubbock and Gina Wopperer of Canyon; and a brother, Randy Wright of Canyon.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association, 3403 73rd St., Lubbock, TX 79423; New Deal Baptist Church, P.O. Box 237, New Deal, TX 79350; or St. John's United Methodist Church, 1501 University, Lubbock, TX 79401.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
