Services for Curtis "Jiggs" D. Noland, 74, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tim Winn, a Baptist minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Dickens Cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Noland died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, in Methodist Hospital.

He was born July 6, 1923, in Dickens. He graduated from Dickens High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He married Rachel Martin in 1952 in Portales, N.M. He was a Baptist and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 2466 in Lubbock and the National Association of Atomic Veterans.

He farmed in Lazbuddie from 1953 to 1978, when he moved to Lubbock.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jimmy of New Deal; a daughter, Linda Moseley of Lubbock; a brother, John of Spur; a sister, Jewell Holder of Spur; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Rachel Noland Services for Rachel Clareen Noland, 71, of Lubbock, will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in Sanders Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Tim Winn officiating. Interment will follow at the Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Mrs. Noland passed away on March 16, 2008.

Rachel Clareen was born August 16, 1936 in Wetuinka, Okla., to James and Clara Martin. She married Curtis (Jiggs) Noland on June 9, 1952 in Portales, N.M. She was a nurse at West Plains Hospital in Muleshoe. She and her husband farmed in Lazbuddie for 26 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband on February 20, 1998.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Noland of New Deal; her daughter, Linda Moseley, of Lubbock; her brother, Raymond Martin, of Lubbock; a sister, Neva Robinson, of Lubbock; five grandchildren, Marcella Moseley, Melissa Moseley, Amanda Moseley, Callie Noland and Cassie Noland; and four great grandchildren, Jordan, Kendell, Anthony and Mia.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Tuesday at Sanders Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to VistaCare Hospice.

Rachel was a kind, loving and Christian Lady and will be missed very much by her family and friends.
