Graveside services for Cecil H. Meadors, 75, of Lubbock and formerly of Dickens County were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2001 in Dickens Cemetery with Bill Starcher, Broadway Church of Christ officiating. Services were under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

He died Saturday, September 15, 2001 in Lubbock.

Mr. Meadors was born January 23, 1926 in Dickens. He graduated from Dickens High School in 1943. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1950. He served in U.S. Army in the Philippines and received the Purple Heart for his action in the Philippines. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He worked for the Texas A& M experimental ag station for many years and AmChem chemical company.

He is survived by one sister, Lois McClure of Lubbock; one nephew and two nieces.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children´s Home of Lubbock, or your favorite charity.
