Funeral services for Harry Lewis, age 63, of Dickens, were held recently at the Methodist Church at Dickens.Mr. Lewis died of a heart attack after having been in ill health for several months.
Harry Lewis was born in Wise county, TX August 21, 1882. He is survived by his wife and the following children; Chlora Butler of Spur; Cleo Chesney and Thurman Lewis of Dickens.
Brothers and sisters are: Willie Lewis of Ft. Worth; Monroe Lewis of Memphis, Lensey Lewis of Arkansas; Mrs. Lydia Thompson and Mrs. Ruth Gregory of Park Srings; Mrs. Mae Arnold of Houston.
Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild survive.
The pastor of the Methodist church at Dicens was in charge of the services and pallbearers included: Claude Swaringen; Sam Koonsman; Willow Street, Cecil Meadors, Eric Ousley and John Cumby.
Mr. Lewis had been a resident of Dickens for about 8 years. He became affiliated with the Methodist church in 1924.
A Lubbock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Services for Cora T. Lewis, 93, of Dickens were at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Archie Echols, pastor First United Methodist Church of Spur, officiating.Burial will be in Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
Mrs. Lewis died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Crosbyton Hospital after an extended illness.
Born in Cumberland Gap, Tenn., she had been a Dickens County resident since 1916. She was married to Harry B. Lewis on Nov. 8, 1899, in Decatur. Mrs. Lewis was Methodist.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Cleo Chesney of Dickens, a son Thurman of Dickens, eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
