Funeral services for Glenn Earl Latham, 81, were held Friday, September 13, at 4 p.m. in the Dickens Church of Christ with Van Cash, Afton, officiating, assisted by Jody Conaway, Kansas.
Latham died at his home in Dickens on September 11 about 7:15 p.m. Born in Kent County on February 26, 1904, he married the former Dorothy Kerley in Girard on November 24, 1934.
A resident of Dickens County most of his life, he retired from the Texas Highway Department after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Latham, Dickens; three sons, Glenn Gordon Latham, Dickens; Jimmy Clinton Latham, San Antonio; Paul Gene Latham, Vernon; two daughters, Nancy Richardson, Vernon and Gail Ward, Victoria; five brothers, Joe and Clyde Latham, both of Spur; Albert Latham, Dickens; John Latham, Conroe; Frances (Chick) Latham, New Port, Oregon; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Grandsons served as pallbearers. They included Steve Latham, David Latham, Mike Richardson, Scott Arnold, Shawn Henry and Brian Latham.
Burial was in Dickens Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Lee Kerley Latham, born February 2, 1918, passed from this life May 21, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Latham and son, Paul Gene. Dorothy is survived by sons, glenn Gordon Latham and Jimmy Clinton Latham; daughters, Nancy Kay Richardson and Melissa Gail L. Ward.
Services
Visitation will be Saturday, May 24, 2003, 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels. Arrangements entrusted to Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels.
