SPUR (Special) - Services for Mrs. Mary O. Hotchco, 71, of Dickens, will be at 3:00 p.m. today at the Dickens Baptist Church. The Rev. Victor Crabtree, retired pastor will officiate.Burial will be at Dickens Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hotchco died at 5:21 a.m. Wednesday at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after an extended illness.
She was a native of Dickens County and married Paul Hotchco Feb. 19, 1924 in Dumont.
Survivors include her husband of Dickens; a son, George, of Satellite Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Arrington of Spur and Linda Hotchco of Dickens; three brothers, Garlin Murphy of 1510 39th in Lubbock, Frank Murphy of Dickens, and Claude Murphy of Victorville, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Dora Cornett of Herington, Kansas; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Hotchco died at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at Crosbyton Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Wharton, N.J., in 1896. He married the former Mary Murphy Feb. 19, 1924, in Dumont. She died Aug. 7, 1974.
He was a World War I veteran and a member of the Lutheran Church, the Amerian Legion, and the Masonic Lodge. For most of his life he lived in Dickens County where he farmed and worked for the Matador and Swenson ranches.
Survivors include a son, George, of Satellite Beach, fla.; two daughters, Helen Arrington of Spur and Linda Hotchco of Dickens; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
