George Louis Hotchco passed from this life March 14, 2015 at his home in Dickens. Graveside services will be held March 28, 2015 at the Dickens Cemetery.

George was born January 27, 1929 in Dickens County. He started school in a one room school on the Bird Ranch in Motley County, later moving back to Dickens County and graduating from Patton Springs in 1946. He attended Texas Tech University graduating in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. During his career he worked for the Government Core of Engineering at Cape Canaveral, Florida, NASA, Kennedy Space Center and overseas in Iran,, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. After retiring in 1994 he returned to work for Texas Tech in the Health Sciences Center in the Energy Management Department. George was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He lived in Dickens until his death.

George is survived by two sisters, Linda Hotchco of Dickens and Helen Arrington of Spur, several nieces and nephews.
