Odell Holly   DICKENS — Services for Voda Odell Holly were at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Dickens Baptist Church with Eric Swenson officiating. Burial was under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur. Mr. Holly died Dec. 10, 2003, in Lubbock.

He was born Feb. 21, 1921, to Hallet and Gladys Scott Holly in Dickens. He married Arlie Bowen on April 13, 1938, in Dickens. Mr. Holly retired from Henry R. Stafford as a superintendent. After serving his country in the Navy, he became a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Holly is survived by his wife; a daughter, Jeanne Bethel of Dickens; a son, Derryl Holly of Dickens; five grandchildren, Cara Dawn Macias, Tasia Bethel, Ronnie Bethel, Todd Holly, and Howk Bethel; seven great-grandchildren, Juston Robinson, Garrett, Eric and Travis Macias, Brittany and Courtney Bethel, and Kelsie Holly; two great-great-grandchildren, Johnothan Robinson and Kylie Macias; and two very special dogs, Paychek and Ol' Trouble.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
