Derryl Holly Photo Church Services for Derryl Wayne Holly, 74, of Dickens, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 4, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Dickens, Texas with Jessie Gillam officiating. Interment will follow at the Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home of Spur.

Derryl passed from this life on March 1, 2014 in Crosbyton. Derryl was born March 3, 1939 in Spur, Texas to Voda Odell Holly and Arlie Bowen Holly.

Derryl married Juddie Fay McKnight on December 13, 1997. He served in the U.S. Army and later worked in sales for GFC and Mears Auto. Derryl loved to hike, play 42 dominos, and time on his computer. He was always the first one at the senior citizens ready to play card games. He also enjoyed writing short stories and poems.

He is survived by his wife Juddie Fay Holly (McKnight), children Jamie Paschall and husband Jimmy of Dickens; Barbara Winningham and husband James of Amarillo; Jerry Adams and wife Carla of Cleburne; Alan Adams and wife Kim of Crowley; Lenora Bohannon and husband Rod of Amarillo; Todd Holly of New Deal; and Cara Dawn Mecias of Canadian; sister Anita Jean Bethel of Montgomery, Twenty-one Grandchildren and Thirty-seven Great Grandchildren.

Derryl is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials can be made to the North Dickens Senior Citizens or First Baptist Church in Dickens, Texas.
