Funeral services for Charles Renzo Hawley, 87, have been scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Dickens Church of Christ. B. L. Hern, Lubbock, will officiate.

Hawley died about 10:15 a.m. April 30 in the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. Born July 18, 1897 in Hamilton County, he married the former Gladys Dunn on January 24, 1925 in Mallet, Oklahoma. She died December 4, 1980.

A carpenter, Mr. Hawley had lived in Dickens County since 1932. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Huber Hawley, Dickens and Curtis Hawley Plano; three daughters, Jerry Earnest, Lubbock; Merle Brown, Lubbock and Charlene Breslin, Preston, New Jersey; four sisters, Zela Edwards, Dickens; Ruby Smith, Lockney; Sammie Adams, California and Dora Mae DiMaggio, Las Vegas, Nevada; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Dickens Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
