Mrs. Bob Griffin

Mrs. Bob (Maudie Lee) Griffin, 84, of 300 Amarillo St. died at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday in Central Plains Regional Hospital.

Services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Ewing, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating.

Graveside rites will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Dickens Cemetery. Lemons Funeral Home is handling arrangements and burial.

She was born March 15, 1901 in Mart and grew up there. She married Charlie W. Nickels in 1921 in Mart. He died in 1958 in Dickens.

Mrs. Griffin moved to Floyd County in 1924, to Crosby County in 1934 and to Dickens County in 1946. She married Robert (Bob) Griffin in April 1960 in Jayton and moved to Plainview. She was a Methodist.

Survivors are her husband; one stepdaughter, Susan Tipps of Resaca, Ga.; one son, Charles Nickels of Littlefield; one stepson, Jim Griffin of Denton; one sister, Billie Szanto of Waco; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
