Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Dickens Baptist Church for Mrs. Mary Alice Finchum, 58, who died May 5 in Spur Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Rev. Robert Fields, Mineral Wells, formerly of Dickens, officiated, assisted by Rev. Ronald Ledbetter, Dickens.

Mrs. Finchum had been a resident of the Wichita community for a number of years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, R.S. Finchum, Dickens; one son, Clifford Clay, Ganado; three brothers, David Clay and Oma Clay, both of Dickens; one sister, Mrs. Carl Rye, Spur; two grand children and one great grand child.

Pallbearers included Wilson Hagins, Henry Bland, Junior Hagins, henry Edwards, Earn Scott and Thurman Lewis.

Burial was in Dickens Cemetery.
