Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the East side Church of Christ, Dickens, for John Henry Faubus, 72, C.P. Martin, Roswell, N.M. officiated.

Mr. Faubus, a retired farmer and minister of the Church of Christ, died in the Crosbyton Hospital August 6. He had been a resident of Dickens County since 1925, living in both Spur and Dickens. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Georgia Faubus, Dickens; two daughters, Mrs. Earl Meadors, Las Crusces, N.M. and Mrs. Rex Taylor, Arlington; four sons, C.P. Faubus, Roswell, L.D. Faubus, Graham; James Faubus, Dickens and Floyd Faubus, Spur; one brother, Emory Faubus, Whitney; one sister,Mrs. Alla Holland, Corpus Christi; fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Grandsons served as pallbearers. They included: C.P. Faubus, Jr., Alton Henderson, Dwight Dillishaw, James W. Faubus, Ronny Harral and Elmer Cross.

Interment was in Dickens Cemetery.
