SPUR (Special) - Services for Zela A. Edwards, 79, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Dickens First Baptist Church with the Rev. C.L. Atkinson, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

She died at 7:42 a.m. Tuesday at Crosbyton Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Commanche County in 1906. She married Walter Edwards on July 29, 1929, in Guthrie. He died Aug. 25, 1971. She had lived in Dickens County most of her life. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Jack of Colorado City and Harold of Rochester, Mass.; three daughters, Beulah Edwards of Colorado City, Norma Dale Edwards of Amarillo and Joyce Pearson of Spur; three sisters, Sammie Adams of Lindsay, Calif., Dottie Dimaggio of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ruby Smith of Lockney; 37 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.
