Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church, Dickens, for John Henry Jones (sic Edwards), 67. Rev. D.J. Peters, church pastor, officiated.

Mr. Edwards died July 31 in Crosbyton Hospital. He had been a resident of Dickens County all of his life. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, J.H. Edwards, and J.Q. Edwards; one daughter, Mrs. Maude Swaringen; mother, Mrs. Maude Haddock; two brothers, Walter and Luther Edwards; one sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Nichols, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Pallbearers included Cecil Meadors, Johnnie Koonsman, Faye Slough, Fred Arrington, Hubert Collins and E.J. Nichols.

Interment was in Dickens Cemetery.
