Services for Henry Louis Edwards, 76, of Dickens, will be at 2 p.m. February 28, 1991 in the Dickens Baptist Church with Rev. Darwin Scott, Littlefield, officiating.Burial will be in Dickens Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Edwards died February 25 about 5:30 p.m. in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a lengthy illness. He had been a resident of Dickens County since 1946.
He was born August 17, 1914 in Cottle County Texas. He married Lorene Martin on February 20, 1937 in Florence, Arizona. He was a retired farmer and motel operator.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene Edwards, Dickens; one daughter, Marie Mullins, Dickens; a granddaughter, Donna Forbis, Lamesa and a great granddaughter, Amanda Forbis, also of Lamesa.
Pallbearers included E.R. Robertson, Gene Taylor, Billy George Drennan, Raymond Adams, Robert Forbis and Tom Hale.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Graveside services for Lorene Edwards, 85, of Spur will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at Dickens Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Burton officiating. Services are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home in Spur.She died Monday, July 4, in Spur.
Mrs. Edwards was born June 6, 1920 in Wills Point to Chester and Beatrice Dixon Martin. She married Henry Louis Edwards Feb. 20, 1937 in Florence, Ariz. He preceded her in death Feb. 25, 1991. She had been a resident of Dickens County since 1948. She and her husband owned and operated the Double L Motel in Dickens from 1962 to 1978. She had also served on the Dickens Senior Citizens Board of Directors. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dickens Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Marie Mullins and husband Lewis of Dickens; a granddaughter, Donna Forbis and husband Craig of Lamesa; a great-granddaughter, Mandy Forbis of Lamesa; and three brothers, J.C. Martin and wife Esther of Safford, Ariz., Ben Martin and wife Wilma of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Kenneth Martin of Fayetteville, Ark.
