Funeral services for Della Irene Day, 74, were held Saturday, August 21, at 2 p.m. in the Bethel Baptist Church, Rev. J.E. Lee officiated, assisted by Rev. Norris Taylor.

Mrs. Day died August 18 in the Crosbyton Hospital. She had been a resident of Dickens County since 1927. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, E.H. Day, Spur; two daughters, Mrs. Mavis Adams, Vega and Mrs. Virginia Barnhill, Idalou; six sons: Allen Gatlin, Spur; and Pete and Wallace Day, both of Spur; Gordon Day, Andrews; Bill Day, Vega, and Curtis Day, Tulia; two brothers, Henry Granberry, and Joe Granberry, both of DeKalb; two sisters, Edna Granberry, DeKalb and Mamie Deer, Troupe; 32 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Herman Bostick, Lawis Lee, Robert Hahn, Buddy Hoover, Jerry Ensey, Lloyd Hindman, Arner Watson and Travis Hoover.

Interment was in Spur [Dickens] Cemetery.
