Graveside services for William "Bill" Morris Davis, 90, of Dickens were at 1 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2001 at Dickens Cemetery with the Rev. John Truett officiating. Burial was under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.He died Thursday, June 7, 2001 at the Veterans Hospital in Amarillo. He was born Feb. 26, 1911, in Mangum, Okla. He married Mary Etta Wilson on June 6, 1970, in Crosbyton. He was a farmer, and a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Davis of Crosbyton; three daughters, Betty Stanley and Doris Bates, both of Lubbock, and Peggy Allred of Kanosha, Wis.; one son, Johnny Davis of Springfield, Virginia; one stepdaughter, Lillian Atkinson of Dickens; one brother, Mitchell Dee of Wolfforth; one sister, Eunice Tuttle of Chickasha, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services for Mary Etta Davis, 75, of Dickens were held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at Dickens Baptist Church with the Rev. John Truitt officiating. Burial was in Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.Mrs. Davis passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2001 in Crosbyton. She was born Dec. 2, 1925, in Mano, Mo., She was a homemaker and a member of Dickens Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Dickens County for the last 30 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Lillian Atkinson of Dickens; two brothers; three sisters; and four grandchildren.
