Arnel Cumbie U.S.Flag   Funeral services will be held at Dickens Friday for Sgt. Arnel Rhea Cumbie, who died in Esslingen, Germany, on December 3, 1949 while serving with the Air Force there.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church Friday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Ernie Hail of Goldsmith, Texas, and Rev. V.D. Walters pastor, officiating.

A military burial will be held at the Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Chaplain Frank J. Gilchrist of Reese Air Force Base at Lubbock. The Chandler Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Cumbie is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Cumbie; a sister, Sue Cumbie and two brothers, John Cumbie, Jr. of Lubbock and Billy Cumbie, a student at Texas Tech.

Pallbearers will be members of Cumbie's high school class; Kennteh Street, Cecil Hugh Meadows, Norman Wright, R.C. Littlefield, all student at Tech, and Ira Copass, student at Hardin College, Wichita Falls, and Lloyd Holly of Lubbock.
