Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Etta Cox, 77, were held Tuesday in the First Baptist Church, Spur. Rev. Norris Taylor officiated.

Mrs. Cox died Monday morning in Spur Memorial Hospital.

She was an early day resident of Dickens County, residing here from 1920 to 1940. She had been in the Kent Nursing Home since October, 1966. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Marden, McLean, Virginia; Mrs. Grace Duggins, Socorro, N.M.; Mrs. Sylvia Karr, Spur; two step-daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Bowen, Hermleigh and Mrs. Pearl Hobson, Denton; one son, Milton Cox, Modesto, Calif.; one foster son, Marion Kinman, Roswell, N.M.; five brothers, Ben Hobson, Garner; James Hobson, San Angelo; Ira Hobson, Manteca, Calif. and Jess and Alvin Hobson, both of Spur; one sister, Minnie Karr, Baird.

Nineteen grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers included Geroge Nalley, Guy Karr, Johnnie Koonsman, Alvis Bilberry, Everett Roberson, Charles Wyatt.

Interment was in Dickens Cemetery.
