Funeral services were held for Chas. Earl Butler Tuesday, May 23 at 3 p.m. in the Dickens Baptist Church. Rev. J.J. Terry of Farwell officiated the services and Rev. V.D. Walters assisted him.Mr. Butler was born in Georgia October 21, 1903 and died May 21, 1950. He moved to Dickens County in 1927 and married Velma Guyear in 1930.
Pallbearers were Bynum Britton, T.J. Conway, Murry Lea, John Sharp, Frank Adams, and Harry Martin.
He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Chas., Jerry of Spur; 2 sisters, Lillian Bock of Georgia, May Patterson of Spur, 2 brothers, Olen and Dee of Spur, and his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Butler.
Interment was in the Spur Cemetery. Chandlers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
