U.S.Flag  Reburial Services Held For Former Dickens Co., Boy

Remains of Pfc. Robert Brown, son of Mrs. J.V. Ledford of El Paso, accompanied by military escort arrived in Spur Tuesday afternoon, and lay in state in the Campbell Funeral Chapel until Wednesday 1:30 pm.

Pfc. Brown was killed in combat in the invasion of Luzon on January 26, 1945

Accompanied by both Dickens and Spur Veterans, Campbell Funeral coach carried the body to Dickens Cemetery, where semi-military services were held.

Rev. L.L. Hill, pastor of the Methodist Church in Spur, officiated in the final rites.

Burial was in the family plot in the Dickens Cemetery, with Campbell Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
