Stanley Bateman Stanley Bateman, 58, of Dickens died Sunday, March 12, 2006 in Lubbock.

Services were 3 PM, Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Dickens Baptist Church Rev. Chris Thompson officiated. Burial was in Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home in Spur.

Stanley was born January 15, 1948 in Matador to Ray and Pauline Day Bateman. He was employed by Dickens County as a motorgrader operator. Stanley loved his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren. He enjoyed raising horses and working with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Pauline Bateman, one son, Brian Bateman and one sister, Nan Bilberry.

He is survived by one son, Travis Bateman of Spur; two daughters, Tracie Bateman of Dickens and April Johnson of Seymour; one brother, Ray Bateman, Jr. of Ft. Worth three sisters: Sandy Lewis of Deer Lake, Tammy Roberts of McCaulley; Cherry Degraffenreid of Lubbock; and eleven grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Motley Dickens County Old Settlers, Box 44, Roaring Springs, TX 792546
