Services for Bryan Bateman, 37, of Dickens were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2003 at Dickens Baptist Church with Rev. David Fletcher officiating. Burial was in the Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home in Spur.He died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, in Lubbock.
Mr. Bateman was born June 13, 1966, in Mason to Stanley and Judy Adams Bateman. He graduated from Patton Springs High School in 1985. He married Shellie Parish on April 17, 1994, in Spur. He worked for the City of Spur for two years before moving to Vernon where he worked for the W.T. Waggoner Estate for 10 years. He was currently employed with the PK Ranch in Dumont.
He is survived by his wife Shellie of Dickens; one daughter, Tana Bateman of Dickens; four sons, Kory and Taran Bateman, and Brandon and Bradley McBroom, all of Dickens; his father, Stanley Bateman of Dickens; his mother, Judy Bryant of Dickens; his grandmother, Pauline Bateman of Afton; one brother, Travis Bateman of Dickens; two sisters, Tracie Bateman of Dickens, April Johnson of Seymour.
