Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3:30 in the Dickens Church of Christ for Edgar H. Bacot, 82. He died at his home in Dickens on Monday.

Vernon Williams, minister of the Spur Church of Christ, will officiate.

Mr. Bacot was a retired farmer and cowboy. He first came to Dickens County in 1911. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Bacot; four daughters, Mrs. Leslie Dunn, Stockton, California; Mrs. Luther Ray, Dickens; Mrs. Edna Guinn, Santa Anna, California; and Mrs. Ida Mae McMahan, Bakersfield, California; three sons, W.H. Bacot, Dumont; Raymond Bacot, Dalhart and Julian Bacot, Lakewood, California. Twenty three grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild survive.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Koonsman, Frank Murphy, Rob Simmons, Ernest Smith, Fred Arrington and Tommy Conaway.

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Josephine Bacot, 95, were held Monday at 2:30 p.m.. in the Northside Church of Christ, Dickens. Billy McBride officiated.

Mrs. Bacot died last Friday in the Crosbyton Hospital. A housewife, she had been a resident of Dickens County since 1911. Her husband died in 1961. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Hunter Bacot, Matador; four daughters, Mrs. Leila Dunn and Mrs. Belma Ray, both of Dickens, Mrs. Edna Gunn, Tustin, California, 34 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren and 37 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Clyde White, Wyade Roberts, Jim Koonsman, Virgil Hawley, J.W. McAllister and Bill Stone. Honorary pallbearers included Johnnie Koonsman, Fred Arrington, O.D. Thompson and J.T. Johnson.

Burial was in Dickens Cemetery.
