Services for J.P. Bachman, 82, of Spur were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 at the First Baptist Church in Spur. Rev. Tommy Henderson officiated. Burial was in the Dickens Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home, Spur.Bachman died Sunday, March 15, 1998, in Crosbyton Nursing Home.
Mr. Bachman was born Jan. 31, 1916, in Dumont. He lived most of his life in Dickens County. He was a farmer and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He married Evie Guyear on May 6, 1983, in Dickens.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Melvin Bachman of Mansfield, Ronnie Bachman of Arlington, David Edwards of Tulia and Rick Edwards of White River Lake; three daughters, Linda Forbes of Crosbyton, Betty Ross of Aspermont and Pat Cogdill of Aspermont; one brother, Charlie Bachman of Bowie; two sisters, Euna Bell Coppas of Iowa Park and Elsie Pool of Higgins; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren

Services for Evie Allen Bachman, 82, of Spur were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2003 at First Baptist Church in Spur with the Revs. Tommy Henderson and Richard Harbison officiating. Burial was in Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.She died Wednesday, February 26, 2003.
Mrs. Bachman was born April 3, 1920, in Jayton. She graduated from Patton Springs High School in 1938. She was a retired seamstress. She had worked for Salty´s Sewing Factory in Spur until it closed.
She married J.P. Bachman on May 6, 1983, in Dickens. He preceded her in death March 15, 1998. She was a member of Croton Baptist Church.
She is survived by four sons, Melvin Bachman of Mansfield, Ronnie Bachman of Arlington, Ricky Edwards of Lubbock and David Edwards of Tulia; three daughters, Linda Forbes of Crosbyton and Pat Cogdill and Betty Ross, both of Aspermont.
