Stevie Atkinson Services Today

DICKENS (Special) - Services for Stevie Dale Atkinson, a Dickens County teenager killed Sunday in a farm mishap, will be at 3 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church here.

The Rev. D.J. Peters of Anton will officiate and burial will be in Dickens Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Stevie, 13 and an eight grade student at Patton Spings School, was pronounced dead on arrival at Crosbyton Hospital Sunday after he was pinned between a car and an electric loading cart.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Atkinson of Dickens; two brothers, Pfc. Kenneth Jr. of Camp Pendleton, CA, and Vance of Dickens; five sisters, Mrs. Darlene Hammons of Dickens, Mrs. Jean Marshall of Seabrook, Mrs. Judy Bland of Afton, Mrs. Janey Cline of Slaton and Kathy Atkinson of Dickens; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Woodson of Lubbock and Mrs. Claude Atkinson of Dickens.
