Marshall Shane Winkler, 44 died at his home in Sheridan, Wyoming on December 24, 2013.

He was born in Lubbock, Texas November 26, 1969 to Roy and Barbara Winkler. Shane graduated from Monterey High School then attended South Plains College and Sul Ross University. He spent many years traveling the country as he managed competitive polo clubs in Midland, Houston, Palm Beach and Santa Barbara before settling in the place he said �He would never leave� Sheridan, Wyoming. In Wyoming he managed the Big Horn Polo Club and managed the operations of a polo ranch. He also served on the WYO Rodeo Board. Shane was preceded in death by his mother Barbara and a brother Shelby Lynn.

He is survived by his Father, Roy of Brenham, Texas; one brother Derek and wife Lynette; Niece Delaney and nephew Blake all of Coppell, Texas.; His Grandmother Shirley Barton of Snyder. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of family and friends.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his many talents and his passion for life.

Graveside services will be Monday December 30, 2013 at 1:30 at the Afton Cemetery in Afton, Texas; Under the Direction of Zapata Funeral Home.
