Bertrena Williams, 95, of Crosbyton, formerly of Afton, died Tuesday May 1, 2007. Services were held 10 AM, Friday, May 4, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Crosbyton iwth Rev. Lester Griffin officiating. Burial was in Afton Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
Mrs. Williams was born September 25, 1911 in Cleburne, TX to Jeff Bert and Bertha Murphy Owens. She graduated from Toyah High School. She married Jack Sims on April 30, 1937 in Brownfield. He preceded her in death in 1968. She was a member of the Spur Art Guild and was well known in this area for her art work. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Crosbyton.
She is survived by one daughter, DeLynn Williams of Sun City Center, FL; one broher, Lorel Marchman of Granbury, TX; two sisters, Calie Dennison of Arizona and Elizabeth Kritlow of Indiana; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
