AFTON — Graveside services for Opal Florance Slaton, 88, of Afton will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Afton Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Burton officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

She died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, in a Crosbyton hospital.

She was born Oct. 2, 1912, in Afton. She married Norman Eugene Slaton on June 14, 1934, in Dickens. He died Feb. 23, 1980. She lived all her life in Afton and was a homemaker. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry of Afton and Joe of Anson; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
