U.S.Flag   ROARING SPRINGS (Special) — Services for Ted Sedgwick, 65, of Roaring Springs will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Kelley, pastor of First United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Ernie Brown, director of the Roaring Springs Assembly of God Youth Camp, officiating.

Burial will be in Afton Cemetery in Afton under direction of Seigler Funeral Home of Matador.

Sedgwick died Thursday, June 12, 1997, at his residence.

He was born May 8, 1932, in Dickens County. He married Venita Cook on Dec. 30, 1950, in Clovis, N.M. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.

He retired as a heavy equipment operator in the U.S. Navy in 1975, when he moved to Roaring Springs.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry Don of Claude; a daughter, LaVonda Sue McGee of Summerville; a sister, Pearl Patten of Roaring Springs; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
