Funeral services for Mrs. J.M. Robertson, 70, who died at her home in Spur, Tuesday, Nov. 30, were conducted from the Afton Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. L.L. Hill officiating.
Mrs. Robertson had been a resident of Dickens County for the past 33 years, having come here in 1915. She was born in Coke, Texas and was married to J.M. Robertson on December 28, 1894. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Leon Robertson, Haskell; and three daughters, Mrs. Joe Godshall of Pennsylvania; Mrs. Ben Zawadzke, Fort Worth; and Mrs. E.H. O'Rell of Paonia, Colorado; one sister, Mrs. Jess Wilson of Hollis, Okla.
Pallbearers were Jess Powell, Virgil Wilson, Fount Byers, D.O. Blassingame, Peyton Lagg and Edward Hicks.
Interment was in the Afton Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
