Services for T.D."Doc" Roberts, 71, of Brownfield, Texas were at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 1999 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Flowers officiating and Rev. Cletus Caswell assisting.

Interment was at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 3 in Afton Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Roberts died Monday, November 1, 1999 at Lubbock. He was born May 27, 1928 in Afton. He married Dorothy Lester January 1, 1948 in Dickens.

He was raised and attended school in Afton, Texas. They moved to the Johnson Community in Terry County in 1956. He farmed in the Johnson Community and the Tokio, Texas area. They moved to Brownfield in 1973. He retired from farming in 1990. He served on the Board of Directors of the Tokio Coop, and was a lifetime member of the Terry County Sheriff´s Posse. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Kenneth and wife, Cathy Roberts of Conroe, Texas; Jackie and wife, Jancy Roberts of Brownfield; two daughters, Brenda and husband, Jim Boyd of Midland; Sandra and husband, Glen Moore of Throckmorton; a sister, Norlene Franklin of Wellman; two brothers, Tracy Roberts of Afton and Delton Roberts of Spur.
