U.S.Flag   Graveside services for Delton E. Roberts, 78, of Spur were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2002 in Afton Cemetery with Dwight Franklin officiating.

Services are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

He died Wednesday, March 13, 2002 in Lubbock.

Mr. Roberts was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Erath County. TX to Leonard and Minnie Norris Roberts. He had lived in Dickens County since childhood. He served in the U.S. Army Parachute Infantry in the Pacific Theatre and World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7212. He was a farmer and a Baptist.

He is survived by one stepson, Harley of Lubbock; two stepdaughters, Patsy of Galatian, Tenn., and Robin of Houston; brother, Tracy of Afton; one sister, Norlene Franklin of Wellman; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
