Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Memphis Avenue Church of Christ for Henry Lee Offield, 87. Alva Johnson, Turkey, officiated. Burial was in the Afton Cemetery.
He was a retired farmer and the father of Jim Offield, Afton, former Dickens County Commissioner.
Other survivors include his wife, and three sons J.W. Offield, Mission; A.L. Offield, Littlefield and H.F. Offield, Plainview. Three daughters: Mrs. Stella Derington, Big Spring; Mrs. Marie Calvert, Lubbock; and Mrs. Eva Williams, Levelland. Twenty eight grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren. Two brothers: Charlie Offield and Ira Offield both of Breckenridge and two sisters: Mrs. Louisa Eaton, Bronte; and Mrs. Edna Mallock, Breckenridge.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
