Lydia was married to S.J. McSpadden they had two boys; J.W. and Robert. Robert graduated from Patton Springs in 1941, joined the Navy and later died in Corpus Christie S.J. died in 1942. Lydia later married a very good guy that lived in Amarillo named McGinnis.

Obituary

SPUR (Special) — Graveside services for Lydia Bruner McGinnis, 96, of Crosbyton will be at 3 p.m. today in Afton Cemetery with the Rev. C. L. Atkinson, pastor of Dickens´ First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

She died at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in Crosbyton Care Home after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Falls County and had lived in Dickens County most of her life. She married S. J. McSpadden on Jan. 6, 1910, in Archer County. He died on Aug. 25, 1942. She married G. C. McGinnis in 1949 in Potter County. He died on Aug. 5, 1970. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include a son, J. W. McSpadden of Dickens; a sister, Ethel Bratcher of Graham; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
